Science stories: Equilibrium

Red Banana produced, directed, filmed, edited and created the bespoke animations in this film. The film celebrates the 350th anniversary of the Philosophical Transactions and it features Professor Sarah-Jayne Blakemore, Royal Society University Research Fellow, and Dame Athene Donald FRS as they retrace the lives of women who published in science and inspired others to follow them.

The pre-production stage involved a great deal of research into the topic to equip us with sufficient scientific knowledge to write a strong film structure and to also interview participants about their specialist subjects etc.
