British Science Association/Gates Foundation - Youth Grand Challenges introductory film

Red Banana was asked to create a promo film for Youth Grand Challenges, a new competition co-ordinated by the British Science Association in partnership with the Gates Foundation that aims to inspire young people to see how science and technology can be deployed to tackle global health issues.

We filmed children at Bow School in London who had been tasked with the challenge of creating a clean water collection method for African villages, with the potential for their invention to be adopted in the real world - and captured the excitement felt by the students as they realised they had the potential to change the lives of others through scientific discovery. The film was produced, directed, shot and edited by Red Banana.
